We are seeking a digital & social Account Director to help our team of creatives and strategists to do what they do, better. You will be responsible for managing and strengthening client relationships, providing insightful strategies to ensure both agency and client goals are met while mentoring and inspiring the team members.
Key Responsibilities but not limited to:
Work with creative team to ensure that projects are on schedule from concept to the final deliverables, and being a support system and resource to keep the team inspired to create memorable content.
Lead monthly client meetings to provide analytical insights and identify business and marketing objectives to achieve successful growth and measurable results.
Manage client expectations by providing expert insights, anticipating problems and solving them both internally and with clients.
Be the point person in maintaining a strong relationship with the client, offering guidance when needed and a willingness to take on difficult conversations for the good of Umbrella’s team and for the business goals of the client.
Design expert digital and social marketing strategies for clients and new business, including proposals, SOWs and strategy decks.
Manage agency’s operational expenses, keeping track of write-offs and general overhead.
Create growth opportunities for Umbrella’s scope of work with existing clients by delivering excellent client service. Be an advocate for the team and always seek out opportunities to expand.
Have a strong command of paid media and analytics across major digital platforms. Using an excellent working knowledge of the broader digital marketing landscape, make recommendations for the KPIs for the client’s goals.
Facilitate weekly project status and planning meetings with account and creative team and report to the agency director.
Guide internal and third-party vendors to deliver integrated solutions from strategy and concept, through to execution, while adequately representing client interests.
Minimum 5+ years of experience in digital + social media marketing or related experience. Agency experience is preferred vs in-house.
Must have a Bachelor's degree. Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or equivalent preferred.
A solid understanding of and active engagement in social media platforms.
Thorough knowledge and understanding of the principles of advertising, marketing and digital media.
Experience leading and managing growing teams.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office, Google, Dropbox, Airtable, Mailchimp, Klaviyo, Facebook Business Manager and web analytic tools.
A project manager at heart - Exceptional organizational skills and detail-oriented. You love seeing projects come to life.
Entrepreneurial - A hustler, a self-starter with a can-do positive attitude and a roll-up-your-sleeves approach; warm and personable to inspire and guide the team members to drive the process forward and quickly problem solve to deliver the best results for clients.
A problem solver - Ability to anticipate obstacles and also quickly generate alternate solutions/ideas and change course as needed while staying calm and easy to work with when issues arise.
Strong time management skills - Can juggle multiple deliverables with tight deadlines and flexible with demands and changes in business.
Strategic and Creative - Able to see the big picture while implementing an efficient action plan.
