social media and marketing assistant
We are looking for a highly motivated marketing assistant with exceptional organizational skills and a passion for fashion, food, lifestyle, health and photography. This is an entry-level position. You will play a key role in facilitating all aspects of digital marketing, social media and content creation for the Umbrella team, assisting with daily tasks that keep our office moving such as office administration, shoot production and market research. An organized creative who has a strong passion for social media is a huge plus.
Key Responsibilities but not limited to:
Office administration including but not limited to: maintain office calendar, client marketing calendars, organize Dropbox and Google Drive folders
Social media platform management (Instagram, Pinterest, Facebook and Twitter) involving: social media posts, engagement and maintenance
Influencer outreach and product placements
Assist with in-house and off-site photoshoots
Conduct research on up-and-coming social media and market trends
Create monthly social media and digital marketing reports
Provide administrative support as needed and assist with daily errands
Minimum of 1 year of experience in social media and/or marketing at a media company, creative agency or digital agency.
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications or equivalent required.
Understanding of and actively engaged in using social media platforms
Photography, graphic design skills highly preferred.
Basic knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom, Premier, etc) and proficient in Keynote, Dropbox, Google Drive and Airtable.
Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to proofread.
Strategic thinker willing to push the envelope and bring fresh, innovative ideas to life.
Exceptional organizational skills; detail-oriented.
Strong time management skills; ability to juggle priorities and multiple projects.
Can-do positive attitude and a roll-up-your-sleeves approach; personable and flexible with demands and changes in business - no job is too big or too small.
