Umbrella had the exciting opportunity to assist in launching the fine jewelry brand August & June, starting with social content and influencer strategy for their bustling pop-up store in a prime Beverly Hills space.
With influencers ranging from beauty bloggers to fashion tastemakers, Umbrella was able to help August & June reach over 3 million people on instagram and a total of 5 million impressions from the event, marking a successful launch for a new brand with limited market exposure. Umbrella's organized efforts helped to get the most out of the event, which included a piercing station that was very popular with influencers. More broadly, Umbrella developed August & June's brand strategy and remains actively engaged in creative direction and production for their campaign materials, ensuring a cohesive visual language across social, email, web, and paid advertising.
For Valentine's day, Umbrella created the "For you, from you" campaign, which turns the traditional model of women receiving gifts from men on its head. The campaign is about women celebrating themselves, asserting their independence by rethinking how we give and receive jewelry on Valentine's day. As a continuation on the age old "diamonds are forever" maxim, the flower motif of the collection inspired “our flowers are forever" tagline. Self gifting, and women gifting their close friends on Valentine's day is a tradition that August & June would like to cultivate, with the hope of achieving the kind of traditional permanence of what came before.
